Our commitment

BioStack Labs LLC wants everyone to be able to learn about and buy our products, whatever technology or ability they bring to this website. We are committed to making biostacklabs.com accessible to people with disabilities and to meeting our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state law.

The standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, together with the Level AA criteria added in WCAG 2.2 that apply to online stores. WCAG is the internationally recognised standard for accessible websites and the benchmark used by the US Department of Justice.

What we have done

  • Built the site so that every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every link and control.
  • Made the site work with screen readers: meaningful page structure and headings, labelled forms and buttons, text alternatives for images, and announcements when the cart or prices change.
  • Checked text and interface colours against the WCAG contrast minimums, and kept the site readable when text is enlarged up to 200% or the page is zoomed to 400%.
  • Avoided flashing content and moving carousels, and respect the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
  • Test every change before it is released, with automated checks (axe-core) and manual keyboard and screen-reader review, and keep a dated record of that testing.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with the VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA and JAWS screen readers. It does not depend on JavaScript to read product information or to reach checkout.

Known limitations

Some parts of the shopping experience are provided by partners, and we cannot change their code directly. We have configured them as accessibly as their settings allow and raise issues with the providers:

  • Customer reviews are displayed by Judge.me.
  • Email sign-up pop-ups are provided by Klaviyo.
  • Subscription management after purchase is provided by Recharge.
  • Checkout, payment and customer accounts are provided by Shopify, which publishes its own accessibility information.

If any of these stop you completing a task, contact us and we will help you complete it another way.

You can place an order, ask about ingredients, or manage a subscription by phone or email using the contact details above. There is no extra charge for ordering this way.

Review of this statement

This statement is reviewed, and the website retested, each time the site is changed. Testing records are kept by BioStack Labs and are available to regulators on request.
